✊🏿✊🏽✊🏻SOLIDARITY WITH GARMENT WORKERS, DISRUPT THE FASHION INDUSTRY!✊🏿✊🏽✊🏻

During the pandemic, millions of dollars were stolen from garment workers through unpaid wages, unpaid severance pay, and illegal layoff schemes. The Clean Clothes Campaign, alongside 280+ organizations, is advocating through the "Pay Your Workers" campaign for a plan that ensures that brands will never leave workers penniless again. This campaign has ensured factories and brands paid over 10 million in wages and severance that workers were owed, but eventually it wants brands to agree to a structural solution. The next crisis is around the corner and we have a plan to ensure workers are paid in case their factories close in the wage of the climate crises' floods and extreme weather. But to convince brands we need your support!

We're organizing a series of impactful online training sessions, where we will delve into why it is crucial to take action against these brands and demonstrate that our efforts can make a difference! We will cover everything you need to know to create your own action, highlighting all the vital elements that lead to impactful actions. Together, we will co-create actions to pressure these brands to pay their workers what they rightfully deserve!

Session 1: Introduction to Fashion Activism This session will be an introduction to activism in solidarity with garment workers and the "Pay Your Workers" campaign. During this session, we will delve into the reasons why and how activism can bring about social change. Together, we will learn which strategies were successful and how people achieved wins in this campaign.

30 September 19.30-21.30 CEST.

Session 2: How to Create Your Own Action This session is a step-by-step guide on how you can create your own action. During this training, we will go through all the necessary steps and elements that you need when creating an action. For example: What kind of tactics are there, and how do you choose one that fits your demands and goals? What roles do you need during an action, and what kind of legal support is necessary to carry out everything safely?

7 October 19.30-21.30 CEST.

Session 3: Workshop on Co-Creating Action This interactive workshop will be a co-creation session aimed at developing your own action. This session will put the knowledge from the first two sessions into practice. We will go through the initial steps of creating an action plan, match tactics to targets, and generate ideas for local groups so they can create their own innovative ways of taking action.
