What it means to endorse the Fashioning a Just Transition Manifesto

Endorsement of the Fashioning a Just Transition Manifesto means that your organisation supports and agrees with the principles in the Manifesto and commits to take some action – large or small - to help bring about the change that is foreseen in the Manifesto. By endorsing the FJT Manifesto, your organisation becomes part of a growing social movement for change in the textile and garment industry.

Which organisations can endorse the Fashioning a Just Transition Manifesto?

We seek endorsement from activists, social and environmental movements, civil society, garment workers, trade unions, labour rights organisations, and allies.

We want to keep the Manifesto free from for-profit company influence. This means the Fashioning a Just Transition Manifesto can be endorsed by all organisations within the Clean Clothes Campaign Network, as well as by any other not-for-profit civil society organisation - including, but not limited to trade unions, youth groups and women's groups working for social and environmental justice in fashion and beyond - so long as the organisation doesn't have any for-profit companies on their board or decision making bodies.  It excludes companies or other organisations working for profit, including 'sustainability initiatives' that are working for profit or have companies on their boards. Political parties cannot endorse the Manifesto. If you are unsure about who can endorse the Manifesto, please let me know.

Individuals can endorse the Fashioning a Just Transition Manifesto here.
